The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter). – John 1:41-42
We can’t find a book in the bible that is written by Andrew. He’s not even mentioned frequently throughout the New Testament.
But He had done an important thing… that is to tell and bring people to Jesus and let Jesus change their lives.
In these verses, Andrew told Peter about the Messiah. He also brought Peter to Jesus. Peter became one of the disciples of Jesus and was active in preaching the gospel to others. Despite the things happened to Peter, Andrew did not feel envious to him.
As Christians, let’s tell others about Jesus and how He changed our lives. Let’s bring them to Jesus for them to experience the best life God wanted them to have. You never know, the person you’re talking right now will be used by God to advance His kingdom. He needs you to tell this person about Him and bring this to Him, in order to fulfill the plans God has for this person.
