Perversity and Gossip

A perverse man stirs up dissension and a gossip separates close friends. – Proverbs 16:28

We cannot avoid contradicting opinions, but we should consider that we are always open-minded in considering others, especially when working on a group. Being close-minded and perverse may lead to disagreement, and worst, to quarrel and lost of teamwork. When working on a team of people or even with friends, take away your pride, consider all things, share your points humbly and come up with a united decision.

Gossip or rumor does not give a good result. Gossip separates close friends. As member of the body of Christ, we should avoid gossiping about a person, especially if he/she belongs to us. We are called to be united as one body, not to be separated by a simple gossip. If you’re a victim of gossip, don’t give a chance for it to affect your relationships with other people. Pray that God will give you strength and wisdom to overcome this thing and to do what is right. Don’t get angry to people who started this, instead, forgive them and pray for them, talk to them humbly to resolve whatever conflict this had cause.
