After you have taken the assessment, you will be given a report – either your Top 5 or All 34. You read through it, maybe you smiled reading it or even laugh out loud realizing most, if not all, of the statements mentioned resonates who you are. But after that, you don’t know what to do next?
I hear you and here are some tips to put your strengths into action and unleash the power of your strengths in your life and the life of others!
KNOW YOUR STRENGTHS
Read the description of one of your top Strengths from your report. Highlight those words/phrases that resonate with you.
Observe your day. Acknowledge the things you do that reflect your Strength and list these down.
TELL OTHERS ABOUT YOUR STRENGTHS
Tell the people who are closest to you about your top Strengths. Inquire about their views on your Strengths report and the Strength they see in you the most. From their viewpoint of your Strengths, how did these resonate with you?
USE YOUR STRENGTHS
Start being intentional in using your strengths. Consider how you could use one of your Strengths during the day. Reflect and make a list of new things you’ve learned about yourself and your Strength at the end of the day.
FIND A STRENGTHS PARTNER
Developing your strengths will be even better as you are partnering with someone who would like to develop their strengths as well. Find a partner who will inspire you to consciously use your strengths. Use Strengths language and acknowledge intentional Strengths use in both of your lives. Remember to celebrate success!
