Individualization

Gallup Definition:

People exceptionally talented in the Individualization theme are intrigued with the unique qualities of each person. They have a gift of figuring out how people who are different can work together productively.

"I am a customizer."

"I will see the potential in human diversity rather than its problem."

"I bring an understanding of people that is valuable for placement."

"I need individual expectations that are created to fit a person."

"I love people getting to do what they do best."

"I hate a one-size-fits-all approach."

"I might have the tendency to sacrifice group need for individual needs."

Action Items:

If you have Individualization as your dominant talent, you may consider these action items:

  • Become an expert in describing your own strengths and style.

  • Help your colleagues and friends plan their future by starting with their strengths and then designing a future based on what they do best.

  • Make your colleagues and friends aware of each person's unique motivation and needs.

  • See the great talents in people and encourage others to follow their own dreams. Help them to maximize the power of their talents.

  • Help others understand that true diversity can be found in the subtle differences between each individual, regardless of race, sex or nationality.

Note that these action items only serve as guide.
