"I am appreciative of my predecessors and prior events."

"I will remember important history."

"I bring accurate memories and valuable memorabilia."

"I need relevant background for discussions/decisions."

"I love the retrospective."

"I hate when the past is forgotten."

"I might have the tendency to be stuck in the past."

Watch out fo the Gallup's post on how to develop your Context talent.

Action Items:

If you have Context as your dominant talent, you may consider these action items:

  • Read historical novels, non-fiction or biographies. You will discover many insights that will help you understand the present. You will think more clearly.

  • When a problem occurs, ask your colleagues to identify the actions and other factors that led to it.

  • Find a mentor with a long history in your community or organization.

  • Collect memories through photographs or written materials - this can be motivational for you.

  • Partner with someone with a strong Futuristic or Strategic theme. They can help you to stop from becoming mired in the past, while you can help them to stop from ignoring the lessons of the past.

Note that these action items only serve as guide.
